Zaxon
Deceased
AQHA Sorrel (Roan) Stallion
Zippo Cash Bar X Wytro Cupie Doll (Skips Squire)
"Zax" , the original, was bred by Don Moothart when he owned Zippo Cash Bar and stood him in Decorah, Iowa. He was never shown and Jerry Neubauer got him because of severe injury as a colt. He was know for his super disposition.
Many remember Jerry driving his jeep to the pasture, hooking a lead on Zax while still sitting in the car, and driving down the road with Zax in tow out the drivers window.
He left a legacy of well tempered horses with talents from barrel racing to western pleasure; roping to halter.
He has produced earners of over 1100 APHA points, National HS Rodeo Winners and Finalists, a Pinto Reserve National Champion, and countless open show and 4-H horses. He is also the grandsire of countless other successful horses.
His dam was a roan, and though registered as a sorrel, he had roan tendencies which he passed on to his foals. He was also the producer of several super crop out Quarter Horses that had to become Paints.
Though now gone, it is easy to see a piece of Zax in many of his offspring, which is why his fillys have crosses so well on Eternally Ed.
